Journalist Peter Lazenby has spoken out against the far-right after a photograph from outside NUJ conference appeared on the extreme nationalist website Redwatch.

The picture (above), taken by NUJ student David Hedges, was taken without permission and appeared on Redwatch yesterday afternoon.

Mr Lazenby, who has been involved in investigating the extreme-right since the 1970s, wants the website shut down. He said: “The NUJ wants the site banned as it’s picking on journalists in particular. It’s incitement to bloody violence, but the government say they can’t do it because it’s sourced in the United States. But we know who runs it locally.

“One is Kevin Watmough, who is a Bradford based Nazi, now associated with a group called the British People’s Party, and the other is a bloke called Simon Sheppard, both of whom have spent time in prison.”

Intimidation

Redwatch is used as a resource to compile personal details and images of suspected anti-fascists and other political opponents. Although the site claims this is for the sake of information gathering only, there have been several incidents of violence in the past.

Mr Lazenby’s image appears on Redwatch as an alleged “Red Journalist”. He said: “I’m not paranoid and I’m not going to let these people affect my life but things do happen.

“In Leeds there were two teachers who were active anti-fascists. Their details appeared on the site and three nights later their car was petrol bombed. A guy in Liverpool also had his details published and somebody turned up on his doorstep and stabbed him in the face.”

As a reporter for the Yorkshire Evening Post and Chairman of the NUJ’s branch in Leeds, Mr Lazenby has none-the-less been a target for Redwatch activists in the past: “They once published an address that I have lived at previously. At that point I had to get in touch with the police and tell them that this place might come under attack. Since then I have moved several times and fortunately they have never found me.”

The appearance of the photograph on Redwatch initially caused dismay among some NUJ delegates, who called yesterday for a general ban on photography whilst conference was in session.

Such fears were countered this morning in a speech by student-journalist Elizabeth Houghton. She said: “I am not one of those student photographers but I, like the rest of you, stand by them. If you say that photography must be banned because Nazis may, at a later point, use any photo to intimidate journalists, you might as well grab their cameras now and throw them on the funeral pyre of freedom of expression.”

A LOOK AT KIRKLEES UNITY

It never ceases to amaze us here at Kirklees Resistance HQ of the crass hypocrisy of the Kirklees Unity group in particular and the so called ‘anti fascist’ movement in general.

For starters they claim to be anti-fascist but most of them wouldn’t know how to spell the word let alone what it means. They claim to ‘expose’ the 'far right' and fascism but support the most far right fascist ideology known to man i.e. the religion of Islam. They even carry a link on their website to ‘Islamaphobia watch’ such is their ideological confusion and determination to destroy British culture by any means.

In reality the only thing they’re exposing is the massive chips on their shoulders and their pathological hatred for ‘white’ culture and ultimately themselves.

All the members of Kirklees Unity are involved with the local Labour party and it would appear that Kirklees Unity is just a splinter organisation set up by the Labour party to cheat electoral law by putting out more leaflets than they're entitled to. In fact if it wasn’t for them (the Labour Party) relying on the votes of the local Muslims they would have practically no support left in Kirklees whatsoever.

The local white people hate them and they know it. That’s why Labour councillors Eric Firth and David Sheard were seen leaving the local mosques (pulling up their trousers) in the weeks leading up to the election and why Firth picked up 500 votes on last year and when, by ‘coincidence’ in the month before the election 500 names (practically all Muslim) were added to the electoral roll, when in a usual month maybe 15 or 20 names would be added. What they have promised the local Muslims in return for the block vote is anyone’s guess but I think we all know what the score is. In fact the local Muslims refer to them as their ‘bitches’.

Which they are as they've sold themselves into dhimmitude.

Kirklees Unity claim to be non-political but are funded and peopled by the Labour Party.
In fact Labour party councillors (such as Eric Firth) and activists (such as smelly Terry McKay) go out distributing their leaflets with them prior to the elections with their lie filled anti-BNP Searchlies crap, which is a clear breach of electoral law.

The leader of Kirklees Unity (pictured left) is a fat coward who goes by the name of Carl Morphett - who couldn’t even hold a job down in a Postal sorting office – (such is the calibre of these retards) and now spends his days wanking over porn and selling free newspaper dvd’s on ebay, dvd's that clearly state ‘not for resale’. He sells under the name of carlosthejackal1968.

Because he's a coward he also likes to post silly stories on his blog slagging off BNP members for having the guts to do what generations of British people have done i.e fight for their country and culture whereas he chooses to appease and encourage the unwelcome visitors. How these Trotskyites despise anyone still in posession of a pair of bollocks, a foreskin and anything resembling a spine.

Morphett also has a young daughter and such is his hypocrisy that when questioned says he plans to send her to St John Fisher high school which is a Catholic school in Dewsbury and almost 100% white - even though he’s not a catholic - rather than the majority Asian Birkdale school over the way. So much for his love of ethnics.

What’s wrong Carl don’t you want your little lass to bring a nice Pakistani boyfriend home for tea? Wouldn’t you like her to be enriched by some nice Muslim man fat? That’s a bit racist isn’t it, you nazi.

Niall Kelly: still campaigning

A neo-Nazi website has published photographs of a Belfast councillor and accused him and others who supported Romanian victims of racist attacks of being "Fenian reds" determined to destroy loyalist areas.

SDLP councillor Niall Kelly (25) says he won't be intimidated by the 'Redwatch' website which he described as "extremely sinister". Some who have featured on the site have later received death threats or been the victims of violent attack. Last month, over 100 Romanians left Belfast following attacks on their homes. Redwatch accused Kelly and others supporting them of being "Fenian reds causing trouble in south Belfast, attempting to win support for gypsy parasites turning the Protestant Village area into a slum".

The eight photographs included the SDLP councillor at protests supporting the Romanians, at a gay rights' demonstration, with John Hume and at internal SDLP events. Kelly said: "I have reported Redwatch to the police who have said that their E (electronic) crime unit is monitoring the website. This organisation is engaged in high-tech fascism.

"Even BNP leader Nick Griffin has denounced those behind the site which shows what lunatics they are. Redwatch's activities are disturbing but not for one second would I consider letting such intimidation stop me from continuing to campaign against racism and helping those who have been the victim of racist attacks."

Redwatch has published the names and addresses of other anti-racist activists. Other pictures are of Ogra Sinn Féin members and pro-Palestinian protestors in Belfast, and anti-racist, anti-Iraq war, and Shell to Sea demonstrators in Dublin, including members of Labour Youth. Pictures of those demonstrating in the Republic in favour of a woman's right to choose on abortion are also printed. There are two pictures of a woman in Limerick whom Redwatch claimed tore down racist posters. Above the pictures, it announces: "Any further info on the freaks below will be gratefully received."

Bizarrely, one of the photographs of anti-racist demonstrators is of UDA leader Jackie McDonald at a recent protest outside City Hall. The website's slogan is "Remember places, traitors' faces - they'll all pay for their crimes".
